About the festival:

The SERIAC Annual Film Festival is held at the Oast Theatre, Tonbridge, during March or April of each year.  It is dedicated to movie makers in the South East region of the United Kingdom.

Bricks

Promo video for Bricks by Brazilian post prog punk band Violent Attitude If Noticed, taken from their latest album Timeline, mixed by Jon Astley, who has worked with bands the likes of The Who, Judas Priest and Eric Clapton.

I was approached by the band and asked to bring to life the story of a couple who live together but never speak, based on a story by Giulliano Pierobon & script adaptation by Jr Bernucci.

The video was produced in my free time over the course of 6 months.  This was the most challenging project I have worked on so far as there were so many scenes to build and action sequences to animate.

I thoroughly enjoyed working on this music video and hope to work with the band again in the future.

Goldilocks

Goldilocks & The 3 Bears is a film that I made for the children’s charity Kids Out.

I first found out about the charity Kids Out and their World Stories project when I was a volunteer on the BBC Outreach scheme.  I was put in touch with the organisation and ask to bring one of their children’s stories to life through animation.

I chose the traditional fairy tale Goldilocks and the 3 Bears, and was given the freedom to create the style and look of the piece.  I was extremely fortunate that Richard Briers had kindly recorded his voice for the charity which was a joy to animate to.

I was given 5 days to work on this project from start to finish.  Animation is an extremely time consuming process however by keeping the designs and movements simple I was able to complete the film in such a short space of time.

I thoroughly enjoyed working on this project and hope to work with the charity again in the near future.
